OFFICIAL STATEMENT
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Naomi
Palmer-Buchanan (Wudasi Mariam) the Chief Executive Officer of The Marcus Mosiah Garvey Foundation
(MMGF).
Mrs. Naomi passed away unexpectedly in her home, surrounded by loved ones. Her loss
is profoundly felt by the MMGF team, partners, and the many lives she touched through
her leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Mrs. Naomi was a visionary leader whose dedication and passion helped shape MMGF
into the organization it is today. Beyond her professional achievements, she will be
remembered for her kindness, strength, and genuine care for people.
During this difficult time, we ask for privacy and continue praying for her family, loved
ones, and the entire MMGF community.
